An 8kg vase, thrown in front of you
Our potter throws an 8kg vase while you relax with a tea or coffee and help decide its shape. Then it’s your turn: wrap your arms around the wet clay and give it a big hug — your hug, shaped forever in a ceramic piece.

Hi there, I’m Rodrigo Kimelblat, the founder of The Potters’ Shed, and I’m so excited to welcome you to my creative space!
My journey with pottery began 5 years ago when I first got my hands into clay. Before that I had a background in marketing and music, which taught me the power of community and the importance of following your passion.
The Shed has since grown into a community where people of all skill levels come together, learn new techniques and make pieces they’re proud of. Whether it’s wheel throwing or hand building, I’ll guide you through every step — from shaping your first bowl to trimming and glazing your final piece.

In most of our courses, we charge a booking fee to lock in your spot in the class and the remaining amount has to be paid on the first day of the class, via bank transfer, cash or card.
NO, We provide all the materials needed to make pottery, just bring an old towel and an apron if you present yourself.
A catch-up lesson will be offered on another day with another group. If you are unable to attend on another day, a private lesson can be scheduled for a fee of $70.
Absolutely yes, the course is designed to suit all needs and levels. From beginners to intermediate/advanced students, we will have something new to show you and help you improve your ceramic skills.
Not really, but children should be concomitant by an adult.
First, you can try to offer it to a friend of yours and see if they want to take your spot, if that doesn’t work, if you give us 10 days notice before the class starts, you can reschedule your course for next month.

In the 4 week course, we will teach you all the steps from making ceramics, from clay to final product. Its going to be two days of throwing pots on the wheel, one day of trimming your pots and one day of glazing them.
You can finish the course with up to 4 pots that you crafted from beginning to end.
Birthdays, team building, hens, celebrations, creative get-togethers or something completely different. Bring the team — the more the messier.
